This is sort of awkward? i was so psyched for a cordless unit I could move around. But it keeps turning off. I charged it 24 hrs.before use. I set the time as the directions say. And the charge cord is awkward to plug in and take out with the stand. I like the magnetic stand, but it’s awkward for me. Maybe the unit is too light? I guess I am getting old.

After two weeks using the lamp, I've noticed a difference. Especially in the morning after waking up. Less drowsy and lathargic. Liking the cord free portability. A design flaw is the on and off button location. When turning on in the morning I often end up accidently tapping on other settings, which has me fiddling with the light trying to get back to my original desired setting. Irritating, however, not enough so to return the product. 4 stars due to this design flaw.

My light worked for several months, and then has stopped taking a charge. I have lights from Verilux that I have had for many years. I loved this light but unfortunately it didn't last very long

I got this a few months ago and have loved using it, however the charger broke already. It just stopped charging. Have tried using it in a few different outlets that I have other working electronics plugged into, so not sure what happened but it's passed the return date now.

I like the light, but the charge doesn't last. It takes around 3 hours to charge, but the charge only lasts about an hour total. I thought getting the rechargeable one would make it easier to use, but when it has to be recharged so often, I'll have to use it with the plug it in to get much use out of it. The extra $ for the rechargeable are not worth it.

this light is a great size and I like the portability of the unit. it charges quickly and doesn’t take up a lot of room. I like that I can use it is various areas and move it around to where I may be sitting at the time. The timer is a good feature.

I use it constantly and ALWAYS hurt myself, (broke a toe!!!) by it being absolutely too large, being a smooth, featureless hemisphere (only tactile button is the power) and having NO safe gripping surface. I'm shocked it still works after dropping it nearly daily. I had to add a Sugru "handle" (it's basically a little tactile nubbin on the top, under the buttons) to stop it from sliding out of my hands every day. This absolutely needs a design upgrade to the entirely round, smooth outer surface. With the small addition of the Sugru handle, it is now actually useful, no more issues of it sliding out of my hands and dropping on the floor/my foot. verilux - I love this product - the customisable light quality, the timer, the portability, but PLEASE PLEASE UPDATE THE HOUSING IT IS DANGEROUS. Verilux touts the portability, but it is absolutely not safe as it is. The lack of tactility of the buttons is actually moot, now that it is safer to handle the light with the added handle.

I never thought a SAD lamp would work for me because my morning routine takes me all through the house. The smart design of this lamp means I can just take it with me. The battery lasts a good long while, I've never run it down. And my plants love it too!

The HappyLight Halo puts out nice light and I like having the ability to adjust the color temperature. The battery only last for about 30-45 on high making the claim of up to 2 hours of battery life misleading since the recommended therapy is 30 minutes at 10,000 lux. I paid extra for the portability, but in reality the light needs to be plugged in after each use. In addition, the controls are on the back of the light instead of the front. This can cause you to accidentally reset your treatment when adjusting the position of the light. Finally, I feel like the light is a bit awkward in shape and too large to stuff in a bag to travel with. I’d try a flat light if that’s your goal.

I love the size and portability of this light, and the magnetic stand. Lots of good options for brightness, color value, and timers. My only quibble is that the charging cable is a bit fiddly — needs to be in there just right or it won’t charge.

My love for Verilux goes back almost 20 years---originally, I found a Verilux floor lamp with superior lighting ability to help my Mother with macular degeneration see better when doing her needlework. It worked beautifully and secured Verilux into my mind as a reputable company with fine quality products. Since then I've purchased 3 floor lamps and two light boxes. They are all working in various spaces in my home and office. I saw the new HappyLight Halo when shopping for my first replacement bulbs for one of my floor lamps. I had given my son my rectangle happy light and I hadn't replaced it yet so the HappyLight Halo spoke to me and told me that it had a unique design where the light could be precisely positioned for optimum effect. When I read about it further I discovered that it was chargeable and could be used without a direct connection to a wall socket! That was great news as I get into areas without a plug in. The HappyLight Halo is a lovely light with a weighted stand that you can adjust very easily and, best of all, it can be used sans cord! I use daily. It provides great light as well as internal light balancing. Another classy product from Verilux :)
