Still best collagen product out there. WORST packaging EVER. I saved my old tub and pour in there. And holy crap would a scoop really kill the profits or planet? Thats paper tub is garbage….hard to open and wont reseal.

Love the product. Hate the new packaging. I have been using VP for a couple of years now, and definitely feel the benefits in my joint health. My dissatisfaction is with the packaging. It is difficult to open and it does not keep a secure seal over its lifetime. If you think about it, the paper used required deforestation of trees, which kills animal habitat and takes away oxygen production. I know you will say that the paper can be recycled….but so can plastics.

Too many changes recently. I agree with everyone else about the packing. It is ridiculous. Luckily I saved an old container and I just transfer the new powder over but that is after I have to destroy the new container trying to open it. Also, why the bitter/sour taste now? It took me awhile to figure out why my coffee was tasting sour and through a process of elimination I figured it out. It was the powder! I think I’ll be looking for a new product.

Unfortunately even though I had great hopes for this it was a let down. The "unflavored" had a weird flavor when mixed in water and the powder never truly mixed there were always lumps left. I tried a shaker cup, electric whisk, electric frother, nothing helped. I would not recommend this product!

Vital Proteins has changed their packaging and I found it extremely difficult to open the package. I had to cut the top off and luckily I saved another container and used that to keep it fresh..

Used to be tasteless. Now it’s thick and tastes terrible.

You have a fantastic product but have chosen to put it in an ill designed, ridiculously complicated, disaster of a container. I would be completely unable to access the contents if I didn’t have access to a saw. That’s right, I have to use a saw in the garage to get it open. I have terrible arthritis in my hands, this is the ONLY thing I can’t get open using my creative methods. What in the world are you doing? I hope you get rid of these outrageous containers ASAP. Until you do I’m forced to go elsewhere for my collagen. What a shame!!! You say you are “saving the planet” or some silly thing. I guess your thinking is if you can make a container that NO ONE will buy, you’ll save the world because you’ll have no customers therefore no need for containers!

Been using this product for a few years and love it. The recent change in packaging is awful! Thankfully I kept my old container to refill! I hate the new container! I can’t even open this stupid thing! Please change this ASAP!

Product is good. Seems to help my hair, nails, and joints. Not too much taste, so easily mixes into coffee or smoothies. The packaging is TERRIBLE. Recently they went to a paper tub, which is environmentally helpful. But short of attacking it with a knife, you can't get it open. Seriously, I had to take a knife, cut around the perimeter of the container, and then use needle nose pliers to pry it off the rest of the way. Luckily I kept the old container and was able to transfer the product, but please...do something. This is miserable.

I used this product for 3 years and my nails and hair look great. This last container of Unflavored tastes terrible in my coffee and the chocolate flavor made me feel bad every time it was used. I won’t buy either again.

So far so good! I like to add to my coffee with a little bit of oatmilk.

I have been taking this product for almost two years, enjoying it in my coffee every morning. I plan to continue to use it forever b/c I feel it is helping my 80-y/o body. However, I just purchased a 20oz supply in the NEW packaging??? What were you thinking??? It is impossible to open it following the directions provided. I finally had to use a sharp kitchen knife to run it around the edge, risking an injury. I hate to think that I will have to stop buying this product just because of this packaging change. It's really bad....and I don't write bad reviews ever!! Please rethink this.

New packaging is Terrible. Super hard to find out how to open and it doesn't feel it's good enough for storage after opened. Really disappointed.

I've been using Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides for years and love it. The new packaging is terrible! I suffer from joint pain in my hands and I really stuggled to open the container and ultimately ended up destroying it. I had to find another container so I could store the powder. I also miss the plastic scoop that was included with the cansister, now that's gone. Unfortunately, due to these changes I'm looking for another brand since I use the powder daily.

I take this product daily. Love it! I find it to be a great source of protein; however, the new packaging sucks! I had to use a knife, a pair of pliers, and scissors in order to FINALLY get it open. I totally understand the environmental issues with the other container; yet come on. “Pull here. Don’t twist. You got this.” Obviously, I did not get it! Thank goodness I had saved the older plastic tub :)

The product is terrific. The new cardboard packaging is horrific. Thank goodness I saved one of the old cannisters so now I open the cardboard monstrosity with a razorblade and pour contents into the plastic container. I can't imagine keeping the cardboard container on the counter top where it would be damaged by water, beverage mishaps, or cleaning solutions.

I've been taking this since 2022...for 3 years and I am absolutely in love with the product and tell everyone about it. However, since the recent new packaging, it does not dissolve and it clumps into a very hard sticky substance to the point that it does not even come off the spoon when stirring. I had to switch to a different company, however I wish I didn't have to go that route.

Love the new paper canister. It took a minute to figure out how to open but it will be easier from here on out. Great product and great packaging!

I really like this product (even the new packaging). Unfortunately I just became aware of the binding arbitration agreement that is hinned underneath the lid of the packagr so you cannot see it until you open it. I dont know how to put my trust in a product thats no sneaky and afraid of being sued for whatever they might do wrong. I will be looking for an alternative, and suggest you do the same unless you're willing to give up your rigghts. Be warned.
