Quality story
Italian wool coats
Our Italian stadium-cloth adds warmth without bulk, and is inspired by old-school stadium blankets (hence the name). It was developed exclusively for J.Crew in 2006, and we’ve used it in our collection every year since.
Provenance
This Italian fabric is specially crafted at Nello Gori. One of the oldest mills in Tuscany (est. 1948), it’s renowned all over the world for its legacy of quality and long-lasting fabrics.

Color
Each season, our color experts hand-select every hue in our custom palette. During the design process, our team travels to Italy to see the shades in person and make adjustments on the spot to ensure every color is just right.
