Q: How do I get it to stick?

A: What I did is dipping my finger in water and simply tapping on the spot I wanted them to stick, they dry faster than it says on the packaging so it helps. However they do separate quite easily

To make a Clay Character Plastic Bucket Kit stick, lightly score the surfaces you want to join with a sharp tool, then apply a small amount of "slip" (a thin clay slurry) to create a better bond; essentially acting like a glue between the clay pieces. Q: How long will the clay last (unopened)? Do I have to use it within a month of purchase?

A: Ours lasted about 5 days closed before it turned hard and opened it lasted 3 hours before it dried.

Q: Is there synthetic red dye in the clay? The intended recipient is allergic through contact, not just ingestion, of red dyes.

Q: When they clay dries is it supposed to become hard like other clay or is it supposed to stay rubbery? Because mine still feels soft and rubbery

(Teacher and mom here!) I’ve bought this kit probably 5+ times now. It’s my sons’ favorite craft kit! The clay is soft and fluffy and easy to mold. There are lots of colors to choose from and tools to use. The figures are dry enough to use after a few hours but fully dry to the core after 24-48 hours. When using, I recommend only opening what you need or putting the little containers inside of a ziplock baggie so they don’t all dry out before you get another day of play. 10/10 will buy again (literally in my cart right now 🤷🏻♀️)

I bought it for my 5 year old who loves to do activities. It was a fair price for everything, came with so many colors and a book to help you build some. Came with tools, If you want it for a couple fun hours it's perfect, it does dry up quickly even if you keep the clay in the containers, for ours it turned hard after 5 days but overall it did the job. The clay is air dry and dried after 2 hours instead of 24 like it states so that helps since my kid didn't like waiting. I recommend it for beginners like us who simply want to try out how to use clay

The “clay” is more sponge like and hard to mold. Adding a little bit of water helped but I will not be repurchasing as this texture made it harder for little ones to use. It does come with useful tools and nice variety of colors.

My family all loved making little ornaments together with this kit. The color guide was super helpful. Because it is air dry clay, it is so much easier to use than traditional clay that you have to bake and doesn’t break as easily.

Highest quality air dry clay I've ever purchased! I used to purchase air dry clay on Amazon and my kids fell in love with how lightweight it was compared to Play-Doh... they used to make things with Play-Doh but when their creations dried they would normally crack or pieces would fall off because that material doesn't stick the same way this type of air dry clay does. I'm so happy Target carries this because I don't have to buy low quality ones off Amazon anymore!! I read some people complaining about the perceived lack of color choices but I want you to realize you can create any color by mixing them! In fact, the pamphlet it comes with has an easy color addition chart so you know which colors to mix together. My son made the solar system and I've added a picture of it here. I love the carrying case it came with and the price/quality/value is amazing. I'll be purchasing this again and several as gifts for other children we know!
