Q: Will this get rid of the peeling all over my face!

submitted by Lily - 2 months ago
  • A: Hello Lily! Cicaplast Balm B5 is excellent for soothing and protecting irritated, dry skin, and it can be very helpful in relieving the discomfort associated with peeling skin. It creates a protective barrier that helps the skin repair itself and retain moisture, which can reduce the appearance of peeling. However, it's important to understand that it won't necessarily eliminate the underlying cause of the peeling. Peeling skin can result from various factors, including sunburn, certain skin conditions (like eczema or psoriasis), allergic reactions, or even some skincare products. If your peeling is severe, persistent, or accompanied by other symptoms like itching, redness, or pain, it's important to consult a dermatologist to determine the cause and get appropriate treatment. They can advise on the best approach for your specific situation and may recommend additional treatments alongside Cicaplast Balm B5. While Cicaplast Balm B5 can help soothe and protect your skin while it heals, it's essential to address the root cause of the peeling for long-term relief.

Q: Is this product acne safe? I use a 10% Benzoyl Peroxide facial wash and it drys my skin out. Looking for something hydratingand thick but not acne causing.

submitted by LS - 3 months ago
  • A: If you have normal to dry to sensitive skin this is a great product in the evenings to repair your skin barrier and leave your skin calm nurished and happy. If you have normal to oily to acne prone skin I would be mindful to not cover those spots while you have an active breakout until it is in its healing stage so you don't risk clogging those pores or trapping in harmful bacteria, potentially making the situation worse.

  • A: It depends on your skin. It’s a very thick, deeply moisturizing product. I don’t use it during the day because it would feel like too much on my skin. I use it sparingly , at night in winter or when my face is very dry. It’s more like a thick mask. It generally works best if you use it to seal in moisture, after a shower or at night where it has time to saturate.

Q: Hello, Can I use this product under my eyes? I use hydroquinone under my eyes to lighten hyperpigmentation. Hydroquinone makes my skin extremely dry. Can I use cicaplast b5 to moisturize?

submitted by R - 2 years ago
  • A: Hello R, Thank you for your interest in La Roche Posay Cicaplast Balm Vitamin B5 Soothing Therapeutic Cream for Dry Skin and Irritated Skin - 1.35oz. This Soothing cream may be used on the body as well as the face, however we do not recommend using directly on the eyelids as we have not tested this product on that area. Skin around the eye area including the eyelids tends to be thinner than on other parts of the face and body. We would recommend using our Hydraphase Intense Hyaluronic Acid Eye Cream. This hyaluronic acid eye cream moisturizes immediately and provides long-lasting hydration. Visibly diminishes the look of under-eye bags and puffiness. We hope you will give this product a try soon. Thank you for reaching out to La Roche Posay!

Q: Is this good for treating or removing sebaceous filaments?

submitted by ForeverAlexaD - 1 month ago
  • A: Hello ForeverAlexaD! While La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm B5 is excellent for soothing and repairing dry, irritated skin, it's not specifically formulated to treat or remove sebaceous filaments. Sebaceous filaments are a normal part of skin's structure and are different from blackheads. Products containing salicylic acid or retinoids are typically recommended for addressing sebaceous filaments. For personalized advice on managing sebaceous filaments, it's best to consult a dermatologist. They can assess your specific skin type and recommend the most effective approach. You can also research online or visit websites specializing in skincare information for more details on sebaceous filaments and their treatment.

Q: Hello! When using for hands, is it good for skin around nails & cuticles? Or is there a different product I could use for that from your brand?

submitted by Caroline - 2 months ago
  • A: Hello Meep! Yes, Cicaplast Balm B5 is absolutely safe and often beneficial for use on the skin around your nails and cuticles. Its soothing and moisturizing properties can help hydrate dry, cracked cuticles and protect the delicate skin in that area. Many people find it very effective for improving the appearance and feel of their cuticles. While there isn't a specific La Roche-Posay product solely dedicated to cuticles, Cicaplast Balm B5 is a great option due to its gentle, repairing formula. You can apply a small amount to your cuticles and massage it in gently, ideally before bed, to allow it to work overnight. For particularly dry or damaged cuticles, you might also consider layering a richer occlusive, like petroleum jelly, over the Cicaplast Balm B5 to further lock in moisture and promote healing.

Q: Hello, will this help with perioral dermatitis?

submitted by Kya - 4 months ago
  • A: Hello Kya! While La Roche-Posay's Cicaplast Balm B5 is known for its soothing and moisturizing properties and can be helpful for various types of skin irritation, it's not specifically formulated to treat perioral dermatitis. Perioral dermatitis can be a complex condition with various potential triggers, and what works for one person might not work for another. It's always best to consult a dermatologist for an accurate diagnosis and personalized treatment plan for perioral dermatitis. They can assess your specific condition and recommend the most appropriate products and strategies for managing it effectively.

I can't say enough about this balm! It has saved my face! I use it as the last step in my skin care routine, and after a week of use, I have seen and felt such difference in my skin. I wash, dry, tone, serum, moisturize, and then put this on last to seal it all in, as well as protect from the cold and wind of the Midwest! It has transformed my chapped, dry, flaky skin into smoothe, soft, hydrated skin. It isn't sticky, rubs in well, and is highly effective. The price is a little steep for the size of the bottle, but I would pay it over and over for the change in my face.

La Roche-Posay Cicaplast is my go-to product for skin regeneration. It has a light texture that absorbs quickly and doesn't leave a greasy residue. It's perfect for soothing irritation, and I've noticed my skin heals faster when I use it. I use it after sun exposure or whenever I have redness on my face. I would definitely recommend it to all skin types, especially those with sensitive skin.

I’ve been using La Roche-Posay’s Cicaplast Baume B5 for a few weeks now, and it’s quickly become a holy grail product in my skincare routine. Here’s a detailed review of my experience with this multi-purpose balm: --- La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 is a soothing, reparative balm designed to help restore the skin’s barrier and relieve dryness, irritation, and minor skin discomforts. It contains panthenol (pro-vitamin B5) to soothe and repair, madecassoside (a centella asiatica derivative) to promote healing, and shea butter to nourish and hydrate. It’s fragrance-free, paraben-free, and suitable for sensitive skin. --- I have sensitive, combination skin that’s prone to dryness and occasional irritation, especially during colder months or after using active ingredients like retinol or exfoliants. I was looking for a product that could calm my skin, repair its barrier, and provide long-lasting hydration without causing breakouts or further irritation. Cicaplast Baume B5 came highly recommended, so I decided to give it a try. --- The balm has a thick, creamy texture that feels rich and nourishing. It spreads easily but has a slightly occlusive finish, which helps lock in moisture. A little goes a long way—I only need a small amount to cover my face or targeted areas. It absorbs well, though it leaves a subtle sheen on the skin, so I prefer using it at night or on days when I’m not wearing makeup. --- - **Soothing:** This balm is incredibly calming. Whenever my skin feels irritated or red, it provides immediate relief. It’s especially helpful after using strong actives or when my skin is reacting to environmental stressors. - **Barrier Repair:** I’ve noticed a significant improvement in my skin’s resilience since using this product. It feels stronger and less prone to irritation. - **Hydration:** The shea butter and panthenol provide deep hydration without feeling greasy. My skin stays moisturized for hours, even in dry climates. - **Versatility:** I’ve used it on dry patches, chapped lips, minor cuts, and even my toddler’s diaper rash (with pediatrician approval). It works wonders on all of them. --- Pros: 1. **Gentle and Safe:** Suitable for sensitive skin and even babies, making it a great option for the whole family. 2. **Multi-Purpose:** Can be used on the face, body, and lips for a variety of skin concerns. 3. **Soothing and Healing:** Effectively calms irritation and promotes healing for dry, damaged, or compromised skin. 4. **Fragrance-Free:** No added fragrance, which is ideal for sensitive skin. 5. **Long-Lasting Hydration:** Keeps skin moisturized for hours without needing frequent reapplication. --- Cons: 1. **Thick Texture:** While great for dry skin, the thick texture might feel too heavy for those with oily or acne-prone skin, especially if used all over the face. 2. **Not a Standalone Moisturizer:** It’s more of a treatment balm than a daily moisturizer, so it’s best used in combination with other products. 3. **Slight White Cast:** If applied too liberally, it can leave a slight white cast, so it’s better for nighttime use or targeted application. --- Who It’s For: This balm is perfect for: - Sensitive or reactive skin types. - Those dealing with dryness, irritation, or a compromised skin barrier. - Anyone looking for a multi-purpose product to soothe and repair skin. --- - Use it as a spot treatment for dry patches, redness, or irritation. - Apply a thin layer over your regular moisturizer at night to lock in hydration. - For best results, use it consistently during periods of skin sensitivity or after using exfoliants or retinoids. --- Final Thoughts: La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 is a lifesaver for anyone dealing with dry, irritated, or sensitive skin. Its soothing, reparative properties make it a must-have in my skincare arsenal, and I love how versatile it is. While it might not be the most elegant product for daytime use, its effectiveness more than makes up for it.

I recently tried the Hydrating Glow Skin Lotion, and it has become a staple in my daily skincare routine. The lotion has a lightweight, non-greasy formula that absorbs quickly, leaving my skin feeling soft and refreshed. It has a subtle, pleasant fragrance that isn't overpowering. After just a week of use, I noticed a significant improvement in my skin's hydration and overall texture. The lotion contains natural ingredients like aloe vera and shea butter, which are gentle on the skin and effective in providing long-lasting moisture. I also appreciate that it's free from harsh chemicals and parabens. Overall, the Hydrating Glow Skin Lotion is a fantastic product that delivers on its promises, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable moisturizer

I had high hopes for La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5, given its reputation as a soothing and reparative balm, but unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. I have reactive, sensitive, and acne-prone skin, and this product did not work well for me at all. First of all, the texture is extremely thick and occlusive. While I understand that it’s designed to create a protective barrier, on my skin, it felt more like a heavy, suffocating film rather than a breathable, healing layer. It doesn’t fully absorb, leaving a sticky residue that sits on top of the skin for hours. The biggest issue, however, was that instead of calming my skin, it actually made things worse. After just a few applications, I noticed an increase in breakouts and congestion. It seemed to clog my pores rather than repair my skin barrier. I was hoping for relief from irritation, but instead, my skin became even more inflamed. I also found that it didn’t provide the level of soothing and calming effects that I expected. If anything, my skin felt more irritated, as if it was trapped under the thick layer of product. While this balm might work for very dry or compromised skin that needs intense moisture, I wouldn’t recommend it for reactive or acne-prone skin types. Overall, if your skin is prone to breakouts, easily irritated, or doesn’t tolerate heavy products well, I would advise against using Cicaplast Baume B5. It might work better for those with dry, non-acne-prone skin, but for me, it was a complete fail.

This stuff is super rich and moisturizing. My skin has been super dry since my hysterectomy and hormonal issues. I use this instead of night cream and its soo much better. I layer Cosrx snail mucin essence and The Ordinary rosehip oil underneath it, go to sleep then wake up to smooth, hydrated skin. Just a little goes a long way. Only complaint is that it comes in a small container. We need a jumbo version!

Made me break out. I have sensitive dry skin. My hands were dry & I used this product. I went from dry hands to hands with itchy bumps.

Absolutely love this balm! The La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5+ is a game-changer for dry and irritated skin. The packaging is sleek and practical, the texture is lightweight yet deeply nourishing, and the subtle scent is very pleasant. It absorbs well without feeling greasy and truly delivers on its promise of skin repair. A must-have in any skincare routine! #SkincareEssential #LaRochePosay #CicaplastBaumeB5

I absolutely love this product. It does have a thicker consistency, but I feel it’s best to layer it on at night and in the morning my skin is hydrated and has a natural glow
