The concept of toners and essences have become a bit intermingled in recent years causing a lot of confusion on their purpose. In a Korean beauty routine toner comes before essence, but they are used together in the same routine. Toners are meant to balance the pH of the skin and remove left over dirt, debris and even cleanser that hasn't completely washed out of the skin. This allows for a more effective skin care routine. The Good Acids Pore Toner is formulated with very low levels of AHA and BHA to dissolve any impurities in the skin but balanced with turmeric, aloe and allantoin to make it safe and gentle for twice daily use. While the Wild Dew Treatment Essence also has pH balancing properties this product is unique to Korean beauty as it provides the skin with a tidal wave of hydration that helps everything in your routine that comes after it absorb deeper into the skin! Think of the skin like a dry kitchen sponge. If you were to put dish soap on the dry sponge it would just sit on top, much like our skin. Light refreshing nourishing
