Buyer BEWARE. Poor quality, poor customer service. I purchased my first pair of sandals in the beginning of May (2018) - the Arizona sandal with rose gold straps. I sprayed bug spray on my legs, which subsequently got in contact with the straps of the sandal, and within seconds the rose gold buckles turned silver. Completely ruined. Keep in mind, this is BUG SPRAY we're talking about - a product that is safe for the skin, but is presumably not safe for these sandals...? Unfortunately, as a consumer, I was not made aware of the fact that this product could (potentially) have such a deleterious impact on the quality of the shoe. Most people wear sandals during the warm, summer months when most people would be inclined to use products such as bug spray, sun screen, etc. SO WHY WOULD BIRKENSTOCK NOT MAKE CONSUMERS AWARE OF THIS? I reached out to customer service in hopes that they would be willing to replace the tarnished sandals after failing to provide this information to consumers and they treated me as if I were an imbecile for not knowing that a product that is safe for my skin would ruin a pair of "high quality," very expensive sandals. Do yourself a favor - spend your $150+ elsewhere.

These are very cute! I will put up with a break-in period if I can look down and see this much cute. The copper, or rose-gold as some of my friends called it, is so damn cute and goes with everything! Kind of orangey but it is really, sort of peachy, and then of copper. They look great with white and blue jeans! These need to be worn a lot to break them in. Gently bend them back and forth with your hands. I also found that the leather flap beneath the buckle caught on the tops of my toes and rubbed a bit painfully. But then magically, a week later you will be floating on air and you will have forgotten that slight discomfort which hopefully I am preparing you for. Because you may not have gone to a large Midwest state school where everyone wore Birks, (with socks even), and you were not aware of the breaking in period or that people could be so impossibly dorky. But there you are.

Loved the look but the finish scratches and now is peeling after one week.. returning it for the classic leather one!

I would love to give 5 stars all around however, the metallic on the Birkenstock’s has faded and continues to distress with less than a month’s wear. The sandals are certainly defected and I would like a new pair. This should not happen. Please contact me to let me know how and when you can replace these defected Birkenstock’s. Thank you kindly,
