The ideal cleanser cleans the skin and removes impurities without stripping the barrier of its protective functions. Not all surfactants (sudsing agents) are created equally. Many surfactants cause not only irritation but also allergic contact dermatitis. In contrast to other cleansers, we do not formulate with common surfactants known to irritate or create allergic skin reactions. Vetted Dermlab’s C Cleanser is formulated with sodium cocoamphodiacetate and sodium cocoyl glutamate, two of the most hypoallergenic and least irritating surfactants available.¹ We have also added niacinamide, which works to hydrate and restore the skin barrier and repair damaged DNA.²
