It was too big in the middle so it sat unevenly on my cup. I will keep looking, but for anyone also seeking something to fit a simple modern cup, this is not it. If it helps, the size of the opening is about 4 inches but the size of a 40oz Simple Modern Trek tumbler is closer to 3.5 inches.
