What beauty insiders say…
The power to transform in weeks

Skin starts to glow as cells produce more collagen and elastin. Deep in the dermis, your skin is starting to regenerate. Some skin conditions already see vast improvement in the first few weeks.

Fine lines and wrinkles are fading, skin elasticity is improving. Skin looks firmer, renewed elastin levels are giving skin a full and bouncier texture. Scars are fading, irritation is calmed, skin texture is refined.

Collagen and elastin levels are increased. A complete transformation, delivering new benefits both visible and invisible. The LYMA Laser is at the heart of your skincare routine.

The LYMA Laser is certified as a cosmetic device, engineered to deliver a deep biological penetration. There is a wealth of published medical evidence to demonstrate the power of low-level laser technology to heal torn muscles, heal skin and wounds, and repair soft tissue. The LYMA Laser however is a cosmetic device and is not a medical device.
Not only is there absolutely no pain or discomfort experienced when using the LYMA Laser, its advanced laser technology causes no sensation whatsoever whilst using it.
This pain free cosmetic laser is engineered with powerful, patented ultra diffuse lenses which remove all the laser’s intense heat by the time the near-infrared light reaches the skin. The light from the LYMA Laser is engineered to penetrate deep beneath the skin’s surface whilst retaining biological power. This stimulates surplus collagen production, to build a more dense and more elastic dermis and thicker and plumper epidermis. The result is transformed skin.
LYMA Laser technology has been engineered to be safe and optimize all skin tones, working in a different way to all other laser technology.
Unlike other cosmetic lasers that use heat to inflict direct damage to the skin, or deliver heat to water tissue around cells - which creates thermal damage by heating cells up by 4 degrees - the LYMA Laser is the only cosmetic laser technology to stimulate surplus collagen production without causing any damage.
It’s the concept of causing damage in order to stimulate collagen production that makes other cosmetic laser technologies unsuitable for people with Black and Brown skin. This is because the more melanin present in skin, the greater the risk of inflammation, scarring and hyperpigmentation, which can leave the skin with dark pigmentation spots.
This is what sets LYMA Laser technology apart from the rest of the cosmetic industry, and what makes it a completely safe and optimised solution for people with Black and Brown skin.

LYMA Laser and LYMA Laser PRO. The clinical proof
The LYMA Laser was used in a pre-clinical and clinical study on the gene expression profile of human skin, evaluating its wound healing potential.
For this phase 1 clinical trial, a total of 20 patients with non-healing wounds were recruited. The study compared the low-level laser light of the LYMA Laser with LED and a negative control (standard wound dressing) over a five day period, on day 6 skin samples were biopsied for RNA extraction and gene expression assays run for 107 genes of interest.
The study showed the LYMA Laser altered expression of 45 genes. Highly upregulated genes (>5-fold change) included those implicated in wound healing and anti-ageing. The LYMA Laser reduced mean wound area by 78% and healed 4 of 10 wounds completely. By contrast, 8 of 10 of those receiving standard care with no LYMA Laser exhibited no change.
This study authored by Dr Graeme Glass PhD, FRCS (Plast) was published in Aesthetic Surgery Journal for peer-review.
LYMA commissioned a 90 day study with 60 subjects clinically evaluated after using the LYMA Laser. The study showed a statistically significant improvement when looking at overall skin satisfaction, as well as forehead wrinkles, lip wrinkles, marionette lines, nasolabial folds and overall face wrinkles.
The subjects included a variety of ages and skin tones (55% fair skin, 38% melanin rich skin) and a mix of skin types, using the Fitzpatrick scale.

The LYMA Laser was involved in a clinical trial utilising an APM-100 analyser on 10 subjects under professional observation, the following results were reported:
- 64.3% improvement in appearance of pigmentation
- 53.8% improvement in depth and appearance of wrinkles
- 42% improvement in symptoms of rosacea
- 56% decline in appearance of acne and blemishes
Results were observed over a 5 week treatment period with each subject using the LYMA Laser twice daily with LYMA Mist & Glide. The APM 100 is a professional skin analysis device. It measures the level of moisture and analyses the skin conditions of sebum, pore, melanin, acne, wrinkle and sensitivity.
Customer safety is our primary concern. Clinical and preclinical evidence suggests that photobiomodulation is oncologically safe for skin rejuvenation, and there is no evidence to support that it should be avoided by patients who have previously undergone treatment for cancer.
A thorough review of the evidence was published in Aesthetic Surgery Journal (Volume 43, Issue 5, May 2023) Photobiomodulation: A Systematic Review of the Oncologic Safety of Low-Level Light Therapy for Aesthetic Skin Rejuvenation by Dr Graeme Glass PhD, FRCS (Plast).

LYMA conducted a trial of 50 people with an average age of 49 to determine changes in the appearance and texture of skin after the application of LYMA Skincare (Serum and Cream) and using the LYMA Laser for a 3 month period. The study showing skin hydration was improved by an average of 72%, skin elasticity was improved by an average of 24% and skin redness was reduced by an average of 21%.
The machines used in the trial are validated for the purpose of consumer testing:
1. Skin elasticity was measured using Cutometer Dual MPA 580 device
2. Skin hydration was measured using the Corneometer CM 825 device
3. Skin redness was measured Using Colorimeter CL-400 device

Dr Graeme Glass PhD, FRCS (Plast) authored a paper titled Cosmeceuticals: The Principles and Practice of Skin Rejuvenation by Nonprescription Topical Therapy, published in Aesthetic Surgery Journal.
The paper looks to classify cosmeceuticals by method of action, explain how they work in principle with reference to skin aging, and evaluate the clinical evidence for them. The paper explores the role of beta glucans, a key ingredient in LYMA’s Glide, in skin regeneration.
The paper concludes beta-glucans have been shown to enhance migration and proliferation of human dermal fibroblasts in vitro. Preclinical studies have provided evidence of enhanced wound healing by increasing the wound tensile strength, which was attributed to the enhanced collagen biosynthesis.

As low-level laser therapy becomes more widely used in medical practices, and now with the LYMA Laser, at home, Dr Graeme Glass PhD, FRCS (Plast) authored a journal exploring and summarising the clinical evidence for its use as a safe and effective method of skin rejuvenation, acne vulgaris, wound healing, body contouring, and androgenic alopecia.
Dr Glass concludes there is a reasonable body of clinical trial evidence to support the role of low-energy red/near-infrared light as a safe and effective method of skin rejuvenation, treatment of acne vulgaris and alopecia, and, especially, body contouring.

The LYMA Laser utilises Photobiomodulation to trigger skin rejuvenation and renewal. Scientific research proves the effect of photobiomodulation and light therapy’s healing properties on the cells, as in this independent peer-reviewed in vitro study: Topaloglu, Nermin, Merve Özdemir, and Ziyşan Buse Yaralı Çevik. Photodermatology, Photoimmunology & Photomedicine 37.3 (2021): 253-262.
