The concept of toners and essences have become a bit intermingled in recent years causing a lot of confusion on their purpose. In a Korean beauty routine toner comes before essence, but they are used together in the same routine. Toners are meant to balance the pH of the skin and remove left over dirt, debris and even cleanser that hasn't completely washed out of the skin. This allows for a more effective skin care routine. The Good Acids Pore Toner is formulated with very low levels of AHA and BHA to dissolve any impurities in the skin but balanced with turmeric, aloe and allantoin to make it safe and gentle for twice daily use. While the Wild Dew Treatment Essence also has pH balancing properties this product is unique to Korean beauty as it provides the skin with a tidal wave of hydration that helps everything in your routine that comes after it absorb deeper into the skin! Think of the skin like a dry kitchen sponge. If you were to put dish soap on the dry sponge it would just sit on top, much like our skin. However, when you get the sponge wet it plumps up immediately and begins to absorb and activate the dish soap. This is what the Wild Dew Treatment Essence aims to do. It is uniquely formulated to drench every layer of skin with hydration while adding skin brightening and firming benefits to amplify any serums you are using in your routine. It truly is like a personal trainer for your skincare! Brightening my skin in a few days!
I bought this essence from a friend's recommendation and in just a matter of 4 days using it twice a day, I have noticed a major improvement in my skin. I had minimal redness from acne from 2 weeks prior and it already toned down the redness where its almost non existent. My face feels so refreshed, soft and brighter and so hydrated and it hasn't even been a week. Its sad that its a little pricey, so Im happy I got it while on sale. I definitely recommend it.
Best essence I have ever tried.
This essence smells amazing and actually hydrates my skin! I can feel it soften right after use and throughout the day. I have combo skin (oily t zone) and this just keeps my skin nice and glowy. I cannot recommend this enough!!!
Not for me
I wanted to love this but unfortunately my skin did not agree with it. it made me break out with little tiny pimples all over my face. I wanted to keep trying to see if my skin would adapt to it but it just kept getting worse so I returned it.
