Pretty meh from Essie. I don’t have UV nail damage, but I liked the color and nourishing benefits. I waited 20 minutes between coats and application is bubbly. Also, the day after I applied, it reacted with my sunscreen and became sticky, which makes it pretty useless. Also all the positive reviews come from influenster so…. Grain of salt.

Picked this up because the hype about the product in the beginning convinced me that this would be worth trying. I love a good ridge-filling base coat, especially when it supposedly also does some nice things to my nails. Most products won't actually do what they advertise because recovering your nail health is more about what you're eating, drinking, using cuticle oil, and being gentle on your nails rather than using them as tools. Still - my nails are especially fussy and very thin and bendy, so anything that can safely help give them some strength is good in my books. This product is really good about doing that - it doesn't make your nails harder, but it keeps them strong and bendy while also adding a bit of padding to them, just as described. It can help reduce the surface appearance of splitting and dryness, which is a perk. I find that the formula, while I love its thickness, can be hard to work with when it starts to thicken from repeated use. The directions call for thin coats, which is nearly impossible to do given that this is basically a natural nail polish version of a gel rubber base. The trick I've found that helps me apply thinner coats is by pressing the brush fan down so that it fans out across my nail before I do about two to three swipes. Try to work quickly because this product does start to dry fast - it just takes awhile to dry completely. Depending on the thickness of your coat, you may have to wait longer than 10 minutes for complete dryness. Overall, I think it accomplishes what it sets out to do. I would love to see this in other tones, like more neutrals, a pink, or even a white or a black.

I love this product. Had no issues with application. The color was perfect if you’re looking for a natural look. I waited 10 mins between each coat and applied Essie gel topcoat. My nails were very shiny and neat.

I'm done doing the "gel nail polish" and just had the last of it removed two days ago. My nails are in bad shape of course. Found this Rescue UV Gel Damage Repair hoping it would help. Took forever and a day for it to dry! Did two coats which took even longer to dry. The next day, it began peeling away from my nail. Second day (today), only three of my nails has this gel damage repair polish on. Very disappointed!

I put this on before I went to bed and in the morning it was already peeling off. Didn't they test the product before selling it? I usually love Essie but this has definitely shaken my faith in the company. I feel like I got ripped off.

I'll admit I was a bit skeptical of this working, but beyond pleasantly surprised when it transformed my horribly damaged nails in just 5 days. I've had dip powder on my nails for almost 3 years straight with very short breaks in between and my nails were thin, cracked/peeling, and very fragile. This polish has nearly completely repaired the damage done in those 3 years time. Will continue to use for several more months to give my nails a much needed break.

This product did not stay on any of my nails for 5 days. How do I remove what didn't chip or peel off? Nail polish remover didn't remove any of it

Peels eight off whether worn on its own or as a base. Terrible product, doesn’t adhere to the nail week and seems to be a totally different formula from your regular nail polish. Just very underwhelming don’t buy it’s a waste.

I like the sheer color for my short nails but never stays on more than 2 days,it peels right off?

You need to prep your nails before applying otherwise it will definitely peel off. Strange because it is just regular nail polish but literally will peel like little kids peel-able polish. I decided to buff my nails and clean them with alcohol before applying (similar to gel polish) and it worked well, and and I love it as long as I do those steps first.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the sheer color almost nude it leaves. If I split too much polish then bubbles form. Whenever I need a break from gel manicures I like to apply this polish to make sure my nails are being taken care of

its a bit thicker but easy to work with! it has a nice blurring effect and nails do seem less damaged. the only problem i had was bubbling, you have to apply extremely thin coats, otherwise you will end up with bubbles
