Garden of Life Grass Fed Collagen Peptides Dietary Supplement - 9.87oz

When I first started using it a couple days ago it kept clumping/ not fully dissolving. But today I tried it in some water again and it dissolved just fine. I used a half full water bottle and poured it in somewhat slowly. Then I shook it really hard for about 30 seconds. This is the first time I’ve tried it by itself without adding chocolate syrup or putting it in juice. It’s not horrible on its own but I don’t like it. Doesn’t smell good and doesn’t tastes great on its own. I think it tastes best when I add chocolate syrup to it. It definitely helps mask the flavor. Also not too happy with the amount of college powder in the jar. Literally only half way full but maybe that’s normal for collagen products in these types of containers? I’m not sure since I’ve only bought one other college in the past but don’t remember how much was in it or what it tasted like (it’s been a while). Also had the same issue with the coupon on the jar like another commenter posted about. I actually did scan it at the self checkout and it ended up ringing it up as another full priced collagen jar. I was really confused so I ended up having a worker help to take it off and I didn’t ask them about the coupon. I thought maybe it’s supposed to be used for my next purchase? Idk. Anyways. These are all the things I’m not loving about the product so far, but I haven’t been drinking it long enough to see if it will benefit my health. So please don’t read this review and not get the product because you think it’s bad. It might actually help! I’m going to try it out till I run out of it, and hopefully get some good results from it! ❤️

DISLIKE… The item had a $3 manufacturer unexpired coupon in it… even had “New to Target” printed on the coupon and the Target cashier couldn’t take it…. What?!?!!!

I have used this brand of collagen on/off over the last few years. Always liked it but I would alternate between this or Orgain, whichever was on sale. I’ve always been attracted to the fact it contains probiotics (in a way I felt like I was getting more bang for my buck or like a 2 in 1 product). However the strain of probiotic it contained, lactobacillus plantarum, though good and well researched, never really did anything out of this world for me. I have struggled with chronic constipation for years. The only thing that brought me relief was a magnesium supplement called Magnesium Breakthrough (which is also great btw!) I took a year break off this brand of collagen, and just recently bought again because of convenience (buying it from Target vs waiting for my other brand Great Lakes to come in the mail.) I have to tell you I was floored. My digestion significantly improved almost “overnight!” I kept thinking what have I done differently?? What changed? I’ve been getting morning sunlight exposure, was it that?? Was it the Garden of life Collagen? But I’ve used this before and it never gave me these results… Well let me tell you! I just checked the back of this collagen bottle and noticed the probiotic strain changed! It’s now bacillus coagulans! An amazing strain that has recently been highlighted in the health world for having great benefits for the gut as well as high survivability, meaning they don’t die off before getting to your gut! I am forever grateful! Thank you to the scientists or whomever is responsible for this change at Garden of Life!! I have had normal healthy bowel movements again after struggling for so long! If you have tummy issues or constipation, TRY THIS!!! Is it a little harder to dissolve, sure but it’s not awful. The taste is undetectable in my coffee. To me the benefits far outweigh any minor inconvenience of having to wait a few more seconds for it to dissolve.

Dissolves well in hot beverages, but must pour in slowly and mix while pouring in powder.

FIrst off I do like the product so far, but when I purchased it, opened it up and the canaster was half full, no joke! Don't tell me its because of settling, the old company line. Put more product in there or I will look for something else. I feel cheated and I am probably right. In a day that everything is reduced in size, make the container smaller, but I believe this is a marketing ploy to make you feel your gettina a good bang for the buck. Not fooled, people are smarter in their purchases than you give us credit for.
