A patch test is recommended, especially if you have sensitive skin. Apply a small amount of product to the forearm, face, or neck area to confirm compatibility.
Can I use the Resurfacing Flash Peel if I have sensitive skin?
Yes, but we recommend you proceed with caution. In the case of sensitive skin, minimize skin contact time during initial application, use for fewer minutes, and build up to longer contact time with later applications.
Is it normal to feel a slight tingling sensation?
It’s normal to feel a mild tingle upon application—that means it’s working!
How long should I leave it on for?
For first time usage we recommend leaving on for 5 minutes. With continued use it can be applied for up to 20 minutes.
Should I use it along with the Resurfacing Compound?
No, use it in place of the Resurfacing Compound once a week.
Does the Resurfacing Flash Peel contain retinol?
Yes, it contains retinyl palmitate, so if you're pregnant or nursing, you should consult your doctor before use.
Can I go out in the sun after using it?
Always wear SPF, like the Multimodal Defender Balm SPF 30, when using this product. The Resurfacing Flash Peel contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) and a beta hydroxy acid (BHA) that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterward.
Which cleanser should I use with Resurfacing Flash Peel?
Avoid the use of exfoliating cleansers during use. That's because the Resurfacing Flash Peel gently exfoliates your skin, while avoiding dehydration and stress to the skin's essential moisture barrier. So you get the exfoliation you need, along with visible recuperative benefits revealing freshness and suppleness. For best results use The MANTLE Conditioning Wash for ultimate nourishment and moisture retention.
