A: Yes! I use Vanicream every night with retinol. If you want to layer: put on Vanicream, follow with your retinol, and then add another light layer of Vanicream. No dryness! (a secret from my Dr. Derm)

However, the only way to be sure a product is safe to use together is to apply a small amount on the skin and see if a reaction develops. This is usually done on the underside of the arm above the elbow. If no problem is evident, a larger application area can be tried until the person is confident that no problem exists.

At first it was nice, but I noticed a few bumps come up that were itchy and figured they could be from anything. By the 4th time I used this, I ONLY used this, and I broke out into an itchy rash over my whole face. :( I’m allergic or sensitive to something in it, but what? I have tried so many other moisturizers and this transformed my skin! Love it!! No more acne break outs and my skin feels amazing! I was using LRP toleriane and it gave me so many break outs, this one however calmed by skin! There is a slight weird smell to it but it goes away once it’s absorbed. I will 100% but this again!

I thought this would be the one. Clean ingredients, no fragrance targeted for sensitive skin. It sounded great to me. I used this for a week, and by the end of the week, my face and neck were riddled in small, deep and hard comedones all over. I should have listened to the bad reviews. I regret using this so badly.

The best facial moisturizer I’ve found. I had been using the La Roche-Posay moisturizer with SPF 30 for my AM routine, but my skin felt dry and I could tell my makeup wasn’t looking its best. I’ve since been using this as my AM and PM moisturizer, and I’ve found it’s hydrating enough for nighttime use and it layers well under my foundation. Win win! A little goes a long way. This is my new holy grail, and you can’t beat the price!

This moisturizer is very light but is a little tacky on the skin. It's uncomfortable / hurts when applied on your eyelids. After a few uses, my nose started peeling and becoming more dry. Also with each application my skin became more and more sensitive to this product. I had high hopes for this product but I will be discontinuing use.

Unfortunately I was one of the unlucky people who had a bad burning reaction to this lotion. I initially loved it as I felt it was way more hydrating than my previous moisturizer but after using around half the bottle, I started having severe redness and burning. I didn’t make the connection at first, thinking I was giving myself chemical burns from my retinol but after cutting out my retinol and the reaction was still occurring I realized it was this lotion. After going back to my previous moisturizer and even restarting my retinol routine, I haven’t had a reaction since. It’s really a bummer because this is touted as being sensitive skin friendly but myself and so many others are having the same crazy reaction.

This is hands down the best moisturizer for rosacea that I’ve ever tried! I switched to this moisturizer because my other moisturizer wasn’t helping me at all anymore.
