A: Sure is! People paid that for Yetis just a few years ago. These have been around for ages. This is not new. The colors are new. The company went from 75 million to 750 million. Genius marketing!

The basic colors will do but means my money waited til I found one that said it was meeeee like I got the OR purple one that is rare I was picked to buy and the white colorblock one from dicks and the swirly one that looked like lover album and then got my fiancé into them and got the neon yellow for him and ALL I spent hours off and on locating matching boots and straw toppers off amazon. Question: can anyone please post the info I’m looking for the acrylic round cover in the purple and stars to put on my OR cup. I can’t find amazon. Maybe Etsy.

A: Well if i buy my nine yr old a 40 onz shes not gonna carry it but there is no 30 onz of that same stanley for the thirty ounce so if your and adult then yayaya

submitted byDolCocRem - 2 months agoA: I've found that the 30oz is much easier and lighter to use. The 40oz is handy but it's so heavy when there's liquid in it. For your daughter, a 30oz should be perfect!

submitted byalexandria - 1 year agoA: A 30 oz Stanley is significantly smaller. If you fill both up and compare them, the 30 oz is also lighter. I would recommend a 30 oz since she might not even drink all of that water, and it'll be easier to carry.

submitted byAryanna - 2 years agoA: They aren't spill proof On Amazon you can get spill stopper specifically for this and I highly recommend them they help so much and are a live saver
submitted byAbbigale - 1 year agoA: These vessels are NOT spill-proof. They have an opening to use a straw or just drink out of the opening (sans straw). They are meant to be kept upright. They will leak otherwise. Hope this helps.

submitted bywhirleybird - 1 year agoA: If you turn them to the side or upside down - yes, they will obviously leak due to the straw opening (you can buy specific silicone rings to solve this issue). Otherwise, no, they do not leak
submitted bytatiana - 2 years agoA: Ok , someone asked for another to please reply . I have 2, 40 ounce Stanley’s . One was a gift to me and the other I bought . Do they leak you ask ? If held upside down deliberately while using the straw option small drips could occur but using the Stanley normal like NO it doesn’t leak even while filled with carbonated waters . You can use it without the straw as a drink cup - no drips or leaks here from mine . I also have the Stanley flip top (spout) and no leaks . My Stanley’s go outside with me to the garden and the pool area sit in blazing sun with iced drinks inside the cup and remain super cold till the drink inside is gone and ice still remains inside ! Pricey ? Yes . Sometimes they are on sale - past colors etc. the decision to spend so much is yours to do or not to do but is it worth it ? To me , yes . The quality is there for sure . Hope this answers your questions. These make great gifts for graduation , teen and adult birthdays . To spend 45.00 for a graduation gift which will be loved is actually a bargain in today’s overpriced world . This answer is only my personal opinion I am not a sponsor or a paid reviewer.

Q: Description says it is dishwasher safe. Has anyone put theirs through the dishwasher?
A: I put mine in the dishwasher and lots of the paint is chipping off and warping

submitted byEryka - 2 years agoA: I use the dishwasher all the time, bottom rack or top, it doesn’t matter. These have a “lifetime warranty” and they say they are dishwasher safe.

Q: Can they be washed in the bottom rack of a dishwasher or do the instructions say "top rack only"? The tall ones won't fit in my dishwashers top rack & I'm wondering if the bottom rack will damage them
A: I honestly don't know but I just hand wash mine.
submitted bymeghan - 1 year agoA: I've never washed any metal water bottles in the dishwasher. I recommend handwashing it. It might take extra time but it will keep the tumbler in peak condition.

submitted byNik - 8 months agoA: I don't put mine in the dishwasher anymore, so I have to hand wash it. Which is a pain in the neck, but worth it. The dishwasher caused the paint/color on it to chip, peel, and warp. SO I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HAND WASHING IT!!!

Q: I have a hard time opening my Stanley cup! Does anyone else have trouble?
A: Yes, but only if I tighten it too much. I tighten it just enough to where it won't leak, and is still easy to get the lid off. I have found that when using any water bottle, if you tighten it too much, using a paper towel to help open it does the trick most of the time.

submitted byIris - 1 year agoA: If you tighten the lid too much it can be tricky to open. I’ve had this problem, so I make sure my lid is tight enough to not leak but not so tight I can’t open it.
submitted byMamablue - 9 months agoA: Has to do with the outside temperature. I would put it in the freezer for 15 mins and that will help. Also don’t hold the handle while opening it. It can cause the handle to break off. Hold the bottom and the lid.

A: It will be better. The Stanley's keep water/ice colder/frozen for longer than a yeti

Q: Does this tumbler fit into a car cup holder?
A: Yes, they fit in vehicle cupholders. That's why I bought my off brand one that looks exactly like the Stanley.
