The applicator doesn't work well- product gets stuck in it. Put it into your hands then use the attached brush. The smell is great and I think this really helps my dry itchy scalp.
Give it a chance

Smells great and lathers well. The brush itself is horrible. Just put it in your hands and use your fingers or even your own scrub brush.

Thank you for the feedback. If you're having trouble with the brush we recommend squeezing an ample amount of salty scrub into the bristles first and then using the brush to gently distribute through your scalp. Or if you prefer you can remove the brush and squeeze into your hand, using your fingers to gently massage in. Always follow with a shampoo to ensure salty scrub is fully rinsed.
Works great

I have been looking for a product to help my scalp feel better and this is it. Word of caution, unscrew the top and remove the foil seal to avoid bursting the tube. Learned this the hard way with another product.
Great poduct, just dont use applicator.

Don’t use the applicator, just massage into scalp with your fingers. If your hair is greasy I suggest a light wash before using this. This product made my scalp feel very clean and fresh. I will be using this regularly.
Not for me

I couldn't get the applicator through my fine hair so I tried putting the product directly into my hands and working it in with my own scalp brush, and it left my hair feeling crunchy and greasy. Do not recommend

After applying salty scrub be sure to use a shampoo to fully cleanse your hair and scalp. Salty Scrub is intended as a pre-scrub and should always be followed with a full shampoo to avoid any residue.

Didn’t like it at all. The applicator is so stiff and sharp it hurts to use. The product itself left my hair feeling stiff and greasy.

Hi - If the applicator is painful on your scalp we recommend removing the brush and squeezing directly into your hand to use your fingers to gently massage the scalp. Be sure to follow with a shampoo to ensure salty scrub is fully rinsed.

The small round bristles are very rough on scalp and sharp, followed directions to the T and did not like the outcome. Hair felt dull and dry so i went ahead and washed and conditioned it after. More hair fell out than normal and i want to say its from that circular small brush you use to scrub. My hair is already thinning at my age so I would not reccomment to anyone with thinning hair.

product didn’t have a strong smell. hard to use the brush, not sure if enough product was coming out when scrubbing. might just use the shampoo and not the applicator.

If you prefer, you can remove the brush and squeeze into your hand, using your fingers to gently massage in. Always follow with a shampoo to ensure salty scrub is fully rinsed.
Did nothing. Weird applicator.

The applicator/scrubber on top is way too stiff and not flexible at all. It has the potential to hurt your scalp with how sharp it is. The product itself I was not impressed with either.

Lathered well and smells soooo good but left my hair so greasy so it either doesn’t wash off well or isn’t cleansing well (I have fine thin hair). Sadly I had to return it.

I want to like the product but the container is just not practical. It is hard to disperse the product with the bristles. I’m going to continue to try and use the product itself but without the attachment.
Pretty good!

This smells AMAZING and left my scalp so clean! However, the bristles on the scalp massager are quite rigid and pointy. I ended up using a softer silicone scalp massager to work the product in… much more comfortable.
Good but...

The smell is amazing and maybe the product in the bottle is good but the scrub bristles were just too hard for me. Left my scalp red and tender. Might try it again with my fingers instead of using the built in massage tool.
doesn’t work for me!

The hair scrubber is uncomfortably hard and pointy and the serum made my scalp greasy the next day.

Hi - We're sorry to hear you had a negative experience with salty scrub. if you're finding your scalp too sensitive for the brush we recommend squeezing directly into your hand and using your fingers to gently massage. Be sure to follow with a full shampoo after as salty scrub is intended to be a pre-wash ritual.

The scrubber brush was rock hard and stiff and was painful to attempt to use on my scalp, made my actual hair feel very coarse and rough when I rinsed it out, didn’t like the feel afterwards of my scalp and ended up causing a ton of fallage on my thick hair immediately after using. I really wanted to like this but will be returning it after my first use :(

Finding the right detox formulation for your hair is important when you use product, have hard water, swim, exist, etc. This stuff is salt based and creamy with a very oceanic smell, albeit a little strong if you’re sensitive to those things. It felt gentle because I didn’t feel the usual scalp scrub granules and it spread thick and coated my scalp with maybe a couple quarter sized dollops total for the amount used. I applied it with my hands from the bottle, to be clear, and only scrubbed it once before going in with my shampoo bar for my usual all over double cleanse. It was a little hard to squeeze out and I was worried the bottle might burst like another reviewer reported. It left my roots a little dry and tangled feeling, but that happens relatively easily to me with most less than hydrating shampoos, but it washed very clean. The brush applicator was quite hard, sharp, and should have been silicone, so I was reluctant to use it initially, but I finally did gently after spreading it over my scalp and then followed up thoroughly with a nice fingertip scalp massage. I can’t say I noticed a difference after my shower, but it didn’t irritate my scalp, which isn’t sensitive, and added a little extra self care to my shower. The salt was burning a dry spot on my hand, though, and I hear such negative things about salt in haircare, so I’m unsure what to think.
My scalp feels so much better!

My scalp gets so dry in during winter time and this has given me some relief! I will say that during the first use the packaging broke at the top of the bottle. I had removed the product seal but bc the product is kinda thick you have to squeeze hard and when I did, the packaging opened at the top. Little bit of a bummer but the product itself was great. You can feel the salt and the exfoliation! Photo to show where packaging broke
Love it.

Love the smell, and I think the product actually works. BUT, the product doesn’t disperse well between from bristles to your scalp. No matter what I did, it did not come out right. I ended up taking the bristle top off and just putting the product on with my fingers and rubbing it in. TLDR- if you’re buying it for the bristles, don’t bother. But the product is nice and my scalp felt clean!
Very surprised

Best scalp scrub I have ever used. Better than Kérastase and Drybar scalp scrubs.
