Nona Jones is a rare combination of tech executive, author, speaker, and preacher. Her professional experience includes serving as Chief Content and Partnerships Officer at YouVersion, Head of Global Faith Partnerships at Meta, and Chief External Affairs Officer at PACE Centers for Girls, Inc. She is the author of Success from the Inside Out, From Social Media to Social Ministry, Killing Comparison, and The Gift of Rejection.

A lot of us have heard the story about Jesus being in the fiery furnace with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. Although there were hot flames of rejection engulfing them, Jesus was there protecting them from the torment. It's the same for us today as Nona Jones illustrates how we can overcome the pain of rejection when we see it from God's perspective and protection. He will take what was meant for our harm and turn it into good. This book is packed full of nuggets on how to overcome and unpack rejection. It is powerful, encouraging and informative. I never really understood just how dangerous it can be to harbor rejection. But I have been enlightened, encouraged and equipped with both knowledge and wisdom on the importance of unpacking the “fortune”, yes not the misfortune but the fortune of rejection. I’ve always demonized rejection because of the pain and the sting of pain that always followed it. It was like a two for one deal.
