Q: Does this sunscreen sting when gets in eyes?

submitted by VisionMaker - 3 years ago
  • A: Yes, it absolutely does sting in our experience. But most sunscreens will do this. Have a wet wipe ready if your baby gets sweaty.

submitted byannetters - 2 years ago
  • A: If sunscreen gets into your eyes, it’ll likely irritate them. But, our sunscreen is developed with the highest level of water resistance, so it won’t readily flush into your eyes.

Q: Is this safe for babies under 6 months old?

submitted by Addie - 8 years ago
  • A: As far as I have been told with all 3 of my children that babies under 6 months are not supposed to wear sunscreen at all

submitted byIversen - 8 years ago
  • A: It's my understanding the reasons why they are market it for babies 6 months+ is because when they don't test on young babies and recommend younger babies have very limited exposure to direct sun/heat. That being said, I did you this on my 4 month old's legs and arms with a clear conscience (due to the safer ingredients) for the short time we were at the beach/pool after testing a small area for reaction. I kept as much of her covered as I could so we only used a small amount but had no problems. We like this brand & will stick with it as she gets older.

  • A: We use tocopherol acetate but have documentation from our supplier that there is no residual hydroquinone present in this ingredient.

So good! Yes it leaves a white cast on my child but I personally don’t mind it, the white cast helps me know if I’ve missed a spot and make sure I apply it well enough for the most effectiveness, this is a daily essential especially in the summer, this has helped prevent sunburns, it’s intended for babies but I also use this daily

I have used this sunscreen for years and it has been wonderful. Recently purchased two of the new bottles at the supermarket. The sunscreen smells awful, has a different consistency, and irritates my skins. It also doesn't protect against the sun like it once did. I will never use your products again and I wish I could get a refund. This once was a privately owned company but apparently it was bought out recently.

Drying to your skin and impossible to get off

Incredibly drying and impossible to get off. I scrubbed and scrubbed in the shower and still a dry, white cast remains all over my body. Can’t imagine you’d want to scrub a baby’s skin so heavily to get it off. Would dry baby’s skin out too.

This has been our favourite sunscreen for 6 years, I swore by it and recommended it any chance I got. I am SO furious to see you've changed the ingredients and frustrated that I have to go back to the drawing board of finding a sunscreen we love. Why ruin a good thing !!!????

I’ve been using this sunscreen for years and loved it. Now with the new formulation my daughter got a really bad burning rash (not a sunburn). I used it on myself and didn’t have any issues. I am not looking forward to find a new sunscreen to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an overall great sunscreen to use on my toddler. I searched for a a long time to find a sunscreen that had clean ingredients and would be effective for the sun in Florida and I think I found the only sunscreen we will be ordering from now on. Love everything about this one for my 1 year old! #sweepstakes

Read the ingredient list. This product is marketed for babies but has FRAGRANCE. It also has grapefruit peel oil which is HORRIBLE for a baby sunscreen because the .ain't compound of citrus oils is limonene which is a skin sensitized. Grapefruit peel oil also contains compounds called furanocoumarins that are phototoxic, meaning it can cause a rash/irritation/sunburn if exposed to sunlight. The papaya fruit extract contains an enzyme called papain which is another skin sensitized. It is also a chemical exfoliant and is provalematic because babies should not have chemical exfoliates on their skin AND even if that was okay, you aren't supposed to apply chemical exfoliates before going out in the sun. So why did they put this ingredient in a BABY sunscreen?! Extremely disappointed. DON'T BUY THIS FOR YOUR BABY.

I've used this for my daughter and family for the last two years since she was an infant. If you read the ingredients, it probably the cleanest sunscreen out there. It also doesn't have that offensive sunscreen smell like some other sunscreens. This works really well! My child has never got a sunburn while using it. Stands up well to swimming in the pool, intense rays at the beach, or perfect for just playing outside or at the park! I use it myself sometimes too!

I never go anywhere, even room to room usually, without one of these water bottles. They are great for keeping water cold, especially cool to add variety of herbs or fruit for flavor because of the strainer. But I REALLY wish Thinksport would come up with a more durable strap! I'm in my late 60s, so not rough with my bottles. But eventually the strap snaps and you have to cut it off the cap. And to make it worse you can't just purchase a replacement strap with cap attached. You have you get the whole cap assembly, which is not needed! I have a drawer full when all I need is the cap with attached strap! So frustrating!

Used this sunscreen on both myself and my two year old on a recent beach trip. thankfully it worked great for my two year old and didn’t cause her to burn but didn’t work for me. Used quite a bit on myself and reapplied often but my back, legs and chest still got burnt.
