A: Yes! I use Vanicream every night with retinol. If you want to layer: put on Vanicream, follow with your retinol, and then add another light layer of Vanicream. No dryness! (a secret from my Dr. Derm)

However, the only way to be sure a product is safe to use together is to apply a small amount on the skin and see if a reaction develops. This is usually done on the underside of the arm above the elbow. If no problem is evident, a larger application area can be tried until the person is confident that no problem exists.

My rosacea has never been this bad and I got it because it was a product for sensitive skin. Clearly my skin doesn’t like an ingredient in it. This is the only thing I changed in the last few months so definitely what it was. I woke up with redness and papules the day after applying it, and I used it again that night and I woke up even worse. Won’t be using it again, really disappointed. I hope it doesn’t take long to heal.

I don't know why, but this lotion gave me what seems to be a chemical burn in only the places it was put on my face. Those areas are red, puffy, and hot for 2 days now. There's a clear line between where I put the lotion and where I didn't, and the sensation came on only seconds after applying it. Obviously won't be getting this again - sadly it was a huge waste of money.

I wish I could sing enough praise for this product! I moved from a very humid to a very dry climate, and my skin was so dry I ended up with horrible acne breakouts out of nowhere. I switched my moisturizer to this, applied it morning with my sunscreen, before makeup, and at night, and my skin cleared up in a matter of a couple weeks. It’s super hydrating and feels really lightweight! Absolutely LOVE this moisturizer

At first it was nice, but I noticed a few bumps come up that were itchy and figured they could be from anything. By the 4th time I used this, I ONLY used this, and I broke out into an itchy rash over my whole face. :( I’m allergic or sensitive to something in it, but what? I have tried so many other moisturizers and this transformed my skin! Love it!! No more acne break outs and my skin feels amazing! I was using LRP toleriane and it gave me so many break outs, this one however calmed by skin! There is a slight weird smell to it but it goes away once it’s absorbed. I will 100% but this again!

I thought this would be the one. Clean ingredients, no fragrance targeted for sensitive skin. It sounded great to me. I used this for a week, and by the end of the week, my face and neck were riddled in small, deep and hard comedones all over. I should have listened to the bad reviews. I regret using this so badly.

The best facial moisturizer I’ve found. I had been using the La Roche-Posay moisturizer with SPF 30 for my AM routine, but my skin felt dry and I could tell my makeup wasn’t looking its best. I’ve since been using this as my AM and PM moisturizer, and I’ve found it’s hydrating enough for nighttime use and it layers well under my foundation. Win win! A little goes a long way. This is my new holy grail, and you can’t beat the price!

This moisturizer is very light but is a little tacky on the skin. It's uncomfortable / hurts when applied on your eyelids. After a few uses, my nose started peeling and becoming more dry. Also with each application my skin became more and more sensitive to this product. I had high hopes for this product but I will be discontinuing use.
