A: Not sting exactly, it's not painful, but it does feel.... interesting. It's from the menthol and is tolerable, plus the balm works really well.

A: If you look at the upper left hand corner of the photo of the package of four tubes above, it says SPF 15. I've been using this for about 20 years, and this has always been SPF 15.

I was curious to see what’s underneath the label my surprise, the tube contains a twist up that has a base that’s quite large and you only get half a tube of this product. You think you’re getting a full tube but really you’re not. You have over 1/4th of the tube empty also part of that is inside of the twist plunger, which is inside the base of that so actually a bit under half is usable. Do t think you are getting a full tube. Good product though.

I have always been a bit addicted to lip balms - cute packaging, yummy flavors, and moisturized lips - what’s not to love? But a few years ago, my lips just started having bad reactions to almost every single lip product I used. I was suffering from rashy, peeling, painful lips…until Carmex walked into my life. They are the only lip balm that I don’t have a reaction to and they keep my lips super moisturized. I highly recommend.

I have chronically dry, chapped lips due to medication, and for many years this was the only lip balm, and I mean only lip balm, that kept my lips moisturized. The recent pack I bought has a changed formula – why, why, why??? – That no longer works for me.. It has A very waxy feel to it and my lips get chapped about 20 minutes after use, and to top it off there is now less product in each tube. I don’t know what I’m going to use now, but it certainly won’t be this anymore.

I’m bummed. I’ve been using this and only this for years because nothing, not even medicated chapstick worked for me. I’ve used at least 5 all the way down to the end and keep one in my purse, desk at work, desk at home, and kitchen so I always have one nearby. It’s extra, but that’s just so you know how much I love the stuff. However I’m BUMMED because the original recipe no longer carries SPF! I bought a strawberry flavored one because that one still has SPF, but it’s not the same. I’m really hoping Carmex changes it back.

I would give this a 3.5. I used to love these, but I recently bought a new pack and my lips got sunburnt. I checked the label and realized that they no longer carry SPF in it. I'm disappointed because these were great. Now gotta look for a different brand.

Bought them when my spouse had chapped lips from a cold, and I started using these too. They do feel very strong but did work well at first. After a couple weeks of use, my lips just kept getting more and more chapped, to the point that they were bleeding constantly. I've heard great things from other people my entire life, but this product did not work for me. Vaseline lip therapy was a lifesaver, though.
