A: Hello! Thanks for reaching out. There are not any sunscreens that provide 100% coverage from the sun, so there’s a chance that you will still see the effects of sun exposure on your skin after being outside. And given that any tan indicates the body's response to damaging UV light, this isn't necessarily a good thing. However, our SPF 50 mineral sunscreens provide broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection to help protect you from the sun’s harmful rays and are formulated to protect you from 98% of UVB rays. We recommend that you apply your SPF fifteen minutes before going outside and to reapply at least every two hours (or more often if swimming or sweating). Thanks! -Blue Lizard Team

Picked this up today from a Reddit recommendation. Went to the beach in the middle of the day and didn’t burn at all except one small place I obviously missed so it for sure works! I did feel it was kind of oily for a bit. I hate sunscreen but I can tolerate this one. No sunscreen smell. Was pretty easy to rub in. And really works! I did not use this in my face tho. I use a different tinted one from Neova. I probably wouldn’t use this on my face because I’d be worried about breakouts since it’s oily. Oh and it felt a little difficult to wash off in the shower. But zinc usually does. It’ll be my go to this summer.

Allergic reaction, slight red and puffed.
This sunscreen contains butyloctyl salycilate, which is a chemical filter. Too many brands are sneaking it into mineral sunscreens to pad the uv protection without upping the zinc level.

We love this sunscreen! My son has really bad eczema and all others would make it flare up. It also doesn’t leave a white cast once rubbed in. The cap changes colors under UV which is a nice feature.

Overall there hasn’t been a lot of sun yet so I could properly test, but it did seem to make sure my arm didn’t get burnt. I think this will definitely go into my rotation of sunscreen and I will use this on areas that easily burn.

The tube is a great size and will probably last a long while because with this sunscreen, a little goes a LONG way. It doesn’t really smell much like anything, it’s not something I was worried about. The texture is thick. Reminds me kind of of baby diaper cream. It goes on smoothly but you do have to blend a little more just to make the white cast go away. I love that is has aloe for healing as well. The only downside is that I have very sensitive skin so me personally, I can feel it laying on top of my skin and it makes me just a tad bit sticky. Besides that I will definitely keep using it as it’s very necessary for this hot weather!

It leaves a nice coat long enough to where there is still some on when reapplying if needed to reapply at all. Enjoyed using it on myself as PP mom with skin pigment change. Also on my children to protect their sensitive skin. There is no scent which I like so it doesn’t cause irritation on myself or my children!

I have used lots of sunscreen and this one is incredible! It provides 50 SPF, water resistant up to 80 minutes, broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection, fragrance free, reef safe and it contains soothing organic aloe. This dries without any white cast and it makes my skin feel silky smooth. A really cool feature is that the cap changes color when in harmful UV light. I really like this sunscreen and that it absorbs well without leaving that residue greasiness on my skin. I definitely recommend this! Don't forget the important sunscreen rules to live by, apply 15 minutes before going out, reapply after water exposure or prolonged sweating, reapply after 2 hours and also after towel drying.

Summer is approaching next month the texture is a bit creamy and oily is very pigmented but the absorption is very proficient. Unfortunately I was not able to grasp a scent but the protection to your skin is a must.

I do prefer the new version It’s less drying. There are no fragrances, so it doesn’t have a pleasant scent. The lotion spreads easily and doesn’t leave a white cast. No irritation for my sensitive skin.

I have extremely sensitive skin, and usually sunscreen, especially with this high of spf, breaks me out. This one did not. It has no scent, it is thicker. It isn’t greasy but it does create shine.
