They changed the scent of this perfume when they changed the bottle and it sucks now. Not the same at all. This used to be my every day scent and now I will have to find another. Please change it back.

I'm really disappointed to say that the new Island Vanilla perfume is just a pale imitation of the old, much-loved version. I'm really sad to say that the "island" part got completely changed to a cookie scent. It would be totally fine if the perfume had a different name! The sillage is so intimate, even I can't smell anything from it after 10 minutes. I'm sorry to say that the new Hair and Body Mists have an even worse performance... I'd be really grateful if you could bring back the original versions of Island Vanilla and make French Lilac and Brazilian Mango andPersian Rose available again. I'm afraid that the current range is not quite up to the high standard of the legendary Pacifica perfumes. I'd love to see the old formulas back. It would be such a shame to lose my favourite perfumes forever.

BRING BACK THE OLD FORMULA PLEASE!! this new formula doesn’t even smell like vanilla, it’s overbearing, and i felt the need to shower again soon after applying it. the new scent gives me a headache.

This definitely smells like vanilla but it's also rather floral too.I'd describe it as a bit more floral rather than a super sweet gourmand perfume.This has good staying power on me & it's not too weak either, works well for day or night casual/formal.I'd love to see Pacifica branch out into more unique gourmand perfumes that smell like caramel, chocolate, warm fall spices, teas, herbs, etc to be honest...After all eventually flowers & fruits get boring since every perfumery crafts those types.

The old formula was a beautiful vanillic honey fragrance and this new one is the most basic, boring vanilla. The new formulas for Pacifica fragrances are inferior. Everyone misses the Micro-batch perfumes; they smelled more natural and deeper. I wish Pacifica had just made the old Micro-batch formula more expensive and added this new range instead of getting rid of the old range of fragrances altogether. I wouldn’t mind paying a lot of money for the old formula… This new line of Pacifica fragrances dupes a lot of already popular fragrances and they’ve just lost the unique, botanical touch they once had.

I had Pacifica's original formula for this many years ago, and vaguely remembered the scent. I was very curious to try this new formula with the mixed positive and negative reviews. I like the new scent; it is more on the sandalwood, jasmine, and vetiver end than the vanilla end. I think that I like it a little bit better when I add either Silver Moon or another vanilla perfume to make it smell sweeter. I gave it four stars because I find that it does not last too long on me. If I spray it on my hair or clothes it will linger longer. Next order I will purchase the original formula because I remember that it was a bit more on the vanilla end than this one. If someone is looking for a scent that is not too sweet or gourmand, this is the one for them. Overall, I do recommend because it is a very lovely scent!

I absolutely ADORE this scent, but after they revamped/redid the formula it completely changed and doesn’t smell at all like the smell I know and love. It’s a big bummer because I’ve been wearing this perfume for almost a decade. Instead of smelling like a sweet vanilla it smells harsher somehow (?) more alcohol-y / musky than anything else. I’m truly so sad because I loved this perfume so much but now I don’t know what to do once my og bottle of perfume gets used up!

I`m so surprised that people are disappointed with the new scent. I have been using this perfume for years and I absolutely love the updated version!! I have received so many compliments when wearing it and the new scent smells amazing and more sophisticated! I will definitely be purchasing it again and hope that it does not get discontinued.

PACIFICA IS NOT RESPONDING TO REVIEWS HONESTLY: they say that everyone is experiencing “natural variation” but they are not acknowledging that when they changed the bottles, they also changed the actual notes of the perfume- which is what everyone is complaining about. Vetiver, cocoa, and lime infusion are nothing similar to fruity notes, jasmine, and honey, which is the island vanilla that people love. Please address this actual issue instead of talking about variations from “aging”
